Nothing is manufactured in Malaysia, so stock gets here by arriving. Book the consignment in against the batch numbers it was made under — those numbers are what tie a boot on this shelf back to the routing document that made it, so they never change when goods move.

The stock record above logs changes, so a look-but-do-not-touch login would never appear in it. This is the other half: every time somebody opened a record, printed a stock list or signed out.
Non-conformances
Units written off because something was wrong with them. They leave stock the same way a dispatch does, so nothing disappears without a record, and each one says why.
